Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB
In 2024, HDB completed a sum of 22 home properties, 17 of which were put off by the pandemic. With the exception of one that was delayed because of non-pandemic factors, the standing 4 home assignments were completed on schedule.
The 22 home projects consisted of two Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) projects, that were completed in just a waiting period of less than 3 years. The SWT projects, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, consisted of a total amount of 1,995 apartments.
As at Jan 15, 37 households or about 7% of 555 reserved units have collected their keys.
According to HDB, the finalization of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) marks the conclusion of all apartments in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Phase 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO projects, which were finished in 2024.
The final block, that was put off by six months from its initial PCD, was completed in mid-January.
Flat homeowners of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have been receiving the keys to their new home from November 2024, whilst key collection for Kempas Residence commenced in mid-January this year.
The two Build-to-Order (BTO) plans, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) and Kempas Residences, note the conclusion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed housing projects. As a whole, the 92 plans have delivered over 75,800 new condos to Singaporeans over the last five years.
The remaining projects had waiting times of up to 5 years. Overall, over 18,000 flats were completed in 2024, claims HDB.
HDB is expected to inform the remaining flat proprietors of their key collection date shortly, following the finalization of the final blocks among both plans this month.
As at Jan 15, 657 homes or 59% of 1,109 lined up units have gathered their keys.
Located throughout New Punggol Roadway, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) consists of 1,179 units of two-room flexi, three-, four- and five-room condos all over 6 home blocks. Following pandemic problems, the work’s last block was completed one year from its first Probable Completion Date (PCD) earlier this month.
Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has released the finalization of the final two pandemic-delayed projects from HDB, according to a Jan 20 launch.
Currently, 110 HDB home jobs are under construction, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to accomplish around 17,000 condos across 27 ventures in 2025.
Positioned in between Serangoon Roadway, Lavender Road and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room flats throughout four residential blocks.
