Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar

The site was awarded to Bethesda Medical, that submitted a monthly rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest proposal cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).

“By mixing contemporary benefits with the ageless charm of a heritage building, we’re offering guests an unique lifestyle journey that goes beyond conventional lodging,” adds Wong.

A public tender to lease the real estate, now taken care of by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based upon the bid price and the top quality of the proposed idea, and SLA enticed bidders to think about creative way of living concepts.

Lumina Grand floor plan

The versatile living space lies throughout a maintained 1920s colonial building. The three-storey building, designed by the architectural firm Swan & Maclaren, was one of the earliest modernist structures in Singapore. It was built to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.

Residents of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy endless and courtesy access to the property’s health and wellness features, like the performance fitness center, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot baths.

SLA pointed out Bethesda’s strong focus on community building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its strategy the winning edge. The first level will feature 10 F&B offerings, whilst the 2nd ground will house a gym by Limitless, a wellness centre in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working room. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell gets on the 3rd floor.

In August, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong signalled that the company was planning to include more short-term living selections to its local listing. The first real estates under the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both launched in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen House by Habyt.

Habyt has recently launched a new accomodation area at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the front runner spot for the operator’s Habyt Flex concept, which represents a strategic broadening of the business’s product offerings past long-term co-living.

Wong states Habyt Kada at Maxwell represents the company’s promise to redefining flexible living in Singapore and notes its shift towards the next stage of development for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room prices at Kada at Maxwell will begin at $180 per night.

Kada at Maxwell will supply a series of rooms, including en suite studios and 2- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully installed kitchen space. Guests can book rooms on a nightly or every week basis, with a 12-month selection additionally available.
